How it is calculated
What is the E-7-4 visa?
E-7-4 (skilled worker) lets E-9, E-10 and H-2 workers who have proven their skills in Korea stay long-term without the usual time limit, bring their families, and later apply for F-2 residence. Selection uses the K-point E74 system, with a yearly quota (33,000 places in 2026).
How K-point E74 is scored
Basic items give up to 300 points: average income over the last two years (50–120), Korean language (50–120) and age (10–60). Income and Korean must each reach at least 50 points on their own. Bonus points come from recommendations, long service, work in depopulation areas, certificates and a Korean driver's license, and minor violations deduct points. You need 200 points in total.
How to reach 200 points
Most applicants reach 200 by combining TOPIK 3 or higher with their employer's recommendation (+50). Raising Korean from TOPIK 2 to 3 adds 30 points, and to 4 adds another 40. A Korean driver's license (+10) and a technical certificate (+20) are also within your control.
